1. There Are More With Us Than With Them.
Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his
servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. 9 And the
man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass
not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. 10 And the king
of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned
him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. 11 Therefore the
heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he
called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us
is for the king of Israel? 12 And one of his servants said, None, my
lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the
king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. 13 And he
said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was
told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. 14 Therefore sent he thither
horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and
compassed the city about. 15 And when the servant of the man of God was
risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both
with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my
master! how shall we do? 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be
with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and
said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord
opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain
was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 2 Kings
6:8-17 KJV
2. Don’t Neglect This Great Salvation.
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we
have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word
spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience
received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we
neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the
Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also
bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers
miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Hebrews 2:1-4 KJV
3. Trust In, and Stay Close, to the Lord.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable
and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can
withstand]. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress,
my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! Psalm
91:1-2 AMPC
4. He Will Deliver You and Cover You.
For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the
deadly pestilence. 4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and
under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His
faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. Psalm 91:3-4 AMPC
5. You Will Not Be Afraid.
You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow
(the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, 6 Nor of
the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and
sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. Psalm 91:5-6 AMPC
6. You Will See, But Not Experience, the Reward of the Wicked.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand,
but it shall not come near you. 8 Only a spectator shall you be
[yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you
witness the reward of the wicked. >Psalm 91:7-8 AMPC
7. Because You Made the Lord Your Refuge, No Evil or Plague is Allowed Near Your House.
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your
dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or
calamity come near your tent.Psalm 91:9-10 AMPC
8. The Ministry of Angels.
For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and
defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot
against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young
lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot. Psalm 91:11-13 AMPC
The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him [who revere
and worship Him with awe] and each of them He delivers. Psalm 34:7 AMPC
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is
the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 3 Though an host
should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should
rise against me, in this will I be confident. 5 For in the time of
trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his
tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm
27:1; 3; 5 KJV
Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the
service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit
salvation? Hebrews 1:14 AMPC
9. Because We Love Him, He Promises Us His Protection, Promotion, and Provision.
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I
will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a
personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on
Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. 15 He shall call upon
Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver
him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My
salvation. Psalm 91:14-16 AMPC
