Were the Nephilim sons of God? Fallen Angels? Giants of Genesis 6:4?

A common belief which we share is that the "sons of God" who did marry the "daughters of men" were fallen angels. Why did God send the judgment of the Flood in the days of Noah? The strange events recorded in Genesis 6 were understood by the ancient rabbinical sources, as well as the Septuagint translators, as referring to fallen angels procreating weird hybrid offspring with human women-known as the Nephilim. This was far more than simply a historical issue, the unique events leading to the Flood are a prerequisite to understanding the prophetic implications of our Lord's predictions regarding His Second Coming.  This is believed to have happened both before the Flood and after the flood.  In Israel at the time of David, and before this when the Hebrews were scouting the land - there were tribes of these Nephilim - Goliath the giant of Gath is one example.  Early Church fathers also understood this to be the case.  It appears that these fallen angels were active all over the world.   These bizarre giants living on the earth are also echoed in the legends and myths of nearly every ancient culture.  The ancient Greeks, the Egyptians, the Hindus, the South Sea Islanders, the American Indians, and most all the others have these legends. The Hebrew word Nephelim (plural of nephel) (Nephilim) literally means "rejects". The Hebrew plural for Nephites would be "Nephi'im".                          Satan probably put this plan to interrupt Abraham's "seed into motion, as soon as it was made known that the Seed of the Woman (Christ) was to come through ABRAHAM. Bible Probe Note: Our use of the Word "irruption" in this article below means: act of rushing; act of breaking in; intrusion, raid; sudden increase.

Genesis 6:4 (Original KJV): There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Bible Probe Note: Note the words; "and also after that". This probably tells of two "irruptions" by Satan's seed.  One before Noah's  time and another after the flood.   They were called “The Watchers” in The Book of Enoch.

Their descendents, called Nephilim (translated "giants"), were monsters of iniquity; and being superhuman in size and in their wicked character, had to be destroyed.  Was this the one and only object of the Flood? Genesis 6:12 (Original KJV): And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Only Noah and his family had preserved their pedigree pure from Adam (Genesis 6:9). All the rest had become "corrupt" (shachath). The only remedy was to destroy it defacto (Latin for "in fact"), as it had become defacto destroyed. This irruption of fallen angels before Noah's day was probably Satan's first attempt to prevent the coming of the "Seed of the woman" foretold in Genesis 3:15. If this could be accomplished, God's Word would have failed, and Satan's own doom would be averted. Genesis 3:15 (Original KJV): And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.  also see Isaiah 7:14 WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE DAYS OF NOAH?Will the gates of hell (port holes/stargates) open on December 21, 2012? This is the date the Mayan calendar ends. Is this when the biblical delusions from the skies begin? Did demons land on Mt Hermon in Phoenesia (now Israel) and polute the human race - provoking God's anger?  Are UFO's these demons (some call Watchers) building up their forces for a final battle with the Lord? (Luke 17:26) The idea that the spirits of dead giants (off spring of demons mating with earth women) inhabit the underworld (place beyond the veil) is supported here: - They're segregated from the heroes, the old-time giants who entered the grave in full battle dress, their swords placed under their heads and their shields covering their bones, those heroes who spread terror through the land of the living. The Message Version, Ezekiel 32:27 - "And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell" (Douay-Rheims Version, Proverbs 9:18) - "A man that shall wander out of the way of doctrine, shall abide in the company of the giants"  (Douay-Rheims Version, Proverbs 21:16) - "Hell below was in an uproar to meet thee at thy coming, it stirred up the giants for thee" (Douay-Rheims Version, Isaiah 14:9) - "Let not the dead live, let not the giants rise again..." (Douay-Rheims Version, Isaiah 26:14) The book of Jasher, which is mentioned in the Bible in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1.18 says, "After the fallen angels went into the daughters of men, [then] the sons of men taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order to provoke the Lord" (4:18).  The Book of Enoch says that fallen angels not only merged their DNA with women, but that "they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish" (7:5; 6) Satan's plan was to occupy Canaan with "his own seed" in advance of Abraham's seed.  As soon as it was made known that the Seed of the woman was to come through ABRAHAM, there must have been another irruption, as recorded in Genesis 6:4 (see above), "and also after that" (that is to say, after the days of Noah, more than 500 years after the first irruption). The aim of the enemy was to occupy Canaan in advance of Abraham, and so to contest its occupation by his seed. For, when Abraham entered Canaan, we read (Genesis 12:6) "the Canaanite was then (that is to say, already) in the land." Also in Genesis we see two more attempts by Satan to interfere with Abraham's seed before the birth of Isaac, as told in both Genesis 12:10-20 and in Genesis 20:1-18.

In the late 1950’s, during road construction in the Euphrates Valley of south-east Turkey, many tombs containing the remains of giants were uncovered. At the sites the leg bones were measured to be 120 cms (47.24 inches). Joe Taylor, Director of Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum, was commissioned to sculpt the human femur. This Antediluvian giant stood some 14-16 ft tall (see below). Genesis 6:4 claims: "There were giants in the earth in those days;" Deuteronomy 3:11 states that the bed of Og, king of Bashan, was 9 cubits by 4 cubits (approximately 14 ft long by 6 ft wide). Possible explanation.  The earth had more oxygen. Long ago, even insects may have been larger due to higher oxygen concentrations in the atmosphere (believed to have been about 35 percent instead of 21 percent today). This increased oxygen level could be part of the explanation for giants, long-lived people, and even why fossils of giant dragonflies with 2-foot wingspans have been found.   Antediluvian Giants' bone below Other human Fossil finds A 19'6" human skeleton found in 1577 A.D. under an overturned oak tree in the Canton of Lucerne. 23-foot tall skeleton found in 1456 A.D. beside a river in Valence, France. A 25' 6 " skeleton found in 1613 A.D. near the castle of Chaumont in France. This was claimed to be a nearly complete find. A 9' 8" skeleton was excavated from a mound near Brewersville, Indiana (Indianapolis News, Nov 10, 1975). In 1833 soldiers digging at a pit for a powder magazine in Lompock Rancho, California, discovered a male skeleton 12 feet tall. The skeleton was surrounded by carved shells, stone axes, and blocks of porphyry covered with unintelligible symbols. The skeleton had double rows of upper and lower teeth.  These bones substantiated legends by the local Piute Indians regarding giants which they called Si-Te-Cahs. In Clearwater Minnesota, the skeletons of seven giants were found in mounds. These had receding foreheads and complete double dentition.   "A miner fell through a hole in a mine in Italy and found this 11' 6" skeleton." believed to been found in 1856. A mound near Toledo, Ohio, held 20 skeletons, seated and facing east with jaws and teeth "twice as large as those of present day people," and besides each was a large bowl with "curiously wrought hieroglyphic figures." (Chicago Record, Oct. 24, 1895; cited by Ron G. Dobbins, NEARA Journal, v13, fall 1978). Almost beyond comprehension or believability was the find of the two separate 36-foot human remains uncovered by Carthaginians somewhere between 200-600 B.C. Caius Julius Verus Maximinus, also known as Maximinus Thrax (235-238 A.D.) was a Roman soldier-emperor who spent his reign on campaign. Maximinus was born in Thrace to a Gothic father an Alanic mother in about 173 A.D..  He was reportedly 8' feet, six inches (2.59m) tall, and of tremendous strength.

In an ancient text of the Jews, we read an astonishing description of some of these gigantic Amorites whom the Israelites conquered. In Buber's Tanhuma, Devarim 7, the text tells us of a Rabbi Johnanan ben Zakkai's encounter with the Roman Emperor Hadrian. This event occurred in about A.D. 135, soon after the Roman victory in the Bar Kochba war, when the Jews rebelled against the Romans. The text reads: "The wicked emperor Hadrian, who conquered Jerusalem, boasted, 'I have conquered Jerusalem with great power.' Rabbi Johanan ben Zakkai said to him, 'Do not boast. Had it not been the will of Heaven, you would not have conquered it.' Rabbi Johanan then took Hadrian into a cave and showed him the bodies of Amorites who were buried there. One of them measured eighteen cubits [approximately 30 feet] in height. He said, 'When we were deserving, such men were defeated by us, but now, because of our sins, you have defeated us'" (quoted in Judaism, edited by Arthur Hertzberg, p.155-156, George Braziller, New York: 1962).

Matthew 12:25-26 Applied: Hitler vs Stalin

I like studying the behind-the-scenes aspect of World War 2 because it was a major conflict between the forces of good and the forces of evil in the physical world and in the spiritual world. The forces of evil backed several leaders during the war, including two leaders that are featured in this blog post: Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. I write about Hitler and Stalin because I believe that the conflict between these two leaders and their respective countries was an instance that demonstrates the accuracy of Matthew 12:25-26.

Christ suggested to the Pharisees that when Satan is divided against himself his kingdom will fall (and end in its destruction or desolation).

• Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
• Mat 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Adolf Hitler
I believe Adolf Hitler was possessed by the forces of evil (prophesized in Revelation 17:10 as the 7th King who was to come for a short time) and led a satanically-inspired empire to make war against the Jews and to annihilate Christianity. In addition, Hitler often had encounters with demonic elements, which did not go unnoticed by those who were with him. Herman Rauschning, a man who had many private conversations with Hitler and his aides, spoke to a witness of these encounters and reported the witness’s description of these strange episodes:

“Hitler wakes at night with convulsive shrieks. He shouts for help. He sits on the edge of his bed, as if unable to stir. He shakes with fear, making the whole bed vibrate. He shouts confused, totally unintelligible phrases. He grasps, as if imagining himself suffocating… Hitler stood swaying in his room, looking wildly about him. ‘He! He! He’s been here!’ he gasped. His lips were blue. Sweat streamed down his face. Suddenly he began to reel off figures, and odd words and broken phrases, entirely devoid of sense. It sounded horrible. He strangely composed and entirely un-German word formations. Then he stood quite still, only his lips were moving. He was massaged and offered something to drink. Then he suddenly broke out- ‘There, there! In the corner! Who’s that?’ He stamped in shrieked in the familiar way”.[1]

Herbert Döhring, Head of Hitler’s Household, often watched Hitler walking alone at the Berghof (Hitler’s mountain retreat nearby Berchtesgarden, Germany). In the passage below, Döhring described what he felt was the “real Hitler”, a man who may have been taking orders from someone else:

“In fine weather what he would do is walk in the garden at the back. There was a lawn with paving stones leading around it. He would walk around in a trance-like state, totally absorbed. There were strict orders that he could not be disturbed, no matter what. If there was a telephone call, the adjutant could not interrupt him. He would march up and down like this up to 1 ½ hours at an unbelievable speed—left about turn, right about turn. He was completely switched off, and he used to do some of his typical gestures in an ecstatic state. It was interesting to watch him, at least interesting for me to watch him. I don’t know why. I was seeing the real man. He was forging these gigantic plans, and he would stop for a while, and then off he would shoot again as if under orders like a sprinter”.[2]

Hitler hinted that he was indeed taking orders from someone else: “I am following the way shown me by Providence, with the confidence of a sleepwalker”.[3] As Hitler followed the path that “Providence” led him on, he received help that kept him on course: “The only way in which he could explain the miracle of his own destiny was by attributing it to the action of unseen forces-the same forces to which he owed his superhuman vocation of having to preach a new Gospel to humanity”.[4]

Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin arguably was just as evil as Hitler even though Stalin was not possessed at the degree as Hitler.

Few of the first things that Stalin did when he assumed power were to decimate the Russian Orthodox Church, order the execution of its priests, and order for the destruction of all religious images. Stalin replaced the religious void in the Soviet Union by establishing himself as god and received worship from the people who bought into his Cult of Personality.

Like Hitler, Stalin felt no remorse when a life was lost, especially when it got him closer to his goal. In fact, Stalin often personally decided who should or should not be included on death lists he had his men send him virtually every day during the height of his terror against the Soviet people.[5] Sometimes Stalin was disappointed with the number of names on the list, so he wrote instructions on the “disappointing” list requesting that more names get added next time. Regardless of who was listed, according to historian Anton Antonov-Ovseyenko, Stalin’s death quota had to be filled no matter whom was listed: “Just like the production quota for timber, the quota for extermination was over-fulfilled especially among the country’s elite. That was absolutely typical for Stalin’s type of terror”.[6]

Throughout his reign, Stalin authorized the deportations of entire ethnic groups that he did not like from their lands to remote areas of the Soviet Union. In 1953 Stalin made plans to deport and exterminate (yes, exterminate) all the Jews living in the Soviet Union after he grew paranoid about them. However, a couple of weeks before his plan went into action, Stalin suffered a brain hemorrhage that quickly grew lethal. Minutes before Stalin died, witnesses at his deathbed saw something that they would never forget. Here is one account from Stalin’s daughter Svetlana:

“He suddenly opened his eyes and cast a glance over everyone in the room. It was a terrible glance and something incompressible and awesome happened. He suddenly lifted his left hand as though he were pointing to something above and bringing down a curse on all of us. The next moment after a final effort the spirit wrenched itself free from the flesh”.[7]

Cooperation
Before Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union Hitler and Stalin did what you expect two demonically-led leaders to do behind-the-scenes: cooperate with each other.

• Before World War 2 began Hitler and Stalin signed a non-aggression pact where they agreed to not attack one another and to share the spoils of Poland with each other.
• Stalin helped to supply Hitler’s war machine even though his own people were starving. Stalin sent supplies to Germany, including food, as Hitler waged war in Western Europe.
• I remember reading that one point Hitler proclaimed that his favorite leader was Stalin (not Mussolini or Tojo).

Satan Divided Against Himself
Hitler and Stalin turned against each other when Hitler ordered the invasion of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941 (my research suggests that the real reason Hitler wanted to invade the Soviet Union was so he could have a chance to eliminate its large Jewish population rather than acquire living space for the German people). Despite being warned that an invasion was coming before it actually happened, Stalin failed to take command of the situation until after the Wehrmacht (the German Armed Forces) already gained a considerable advantage against the Red Army. You’d expect any other leader to quickly take command of the situation, but for some reason Stalin refrained from rallying his people to resist the invasion for a suspiciously long period of time (11 days following the invasion!).

On July 3, 1941 Stalin’s leadership paralysis ended when he finally decided to rally his people to resist Hitler’s war of annihilation. When Stalin made the choice to have the Soviets resist the Germans at all costs you effectively had a case where Satan was divided against himself: two demonically-led leaders engaging in a war of annihilation against each other.

Hitler and Stalin ordered their respective forces to fight to the death and to defeat the enemy at all costs. The war in the Eastern front was extremely destructive and costly for both sides. However, in the end Hitler’s satanically-inspired empire was left in complete desolation, especially in the eastern part of the Germany where the Soviets sought retribution for what the Germans had done to them just a few years earlier. It was truly a war of annihilation in which Hitler lost.

Christ’s teaching was proven correct during World War 2. When Satan is divided against himself his kingdom will not stand. I suspect this concept will be proven again following the sounding of the 6th Trumpet when there may be a great war on Earth featuring members of Antichrist’s empire turning against each other (research on this great war is preliminary, but that’s my sense at this moment).

The Difference between Fallen Angels and Demons

I sometimes throw around the terms “fallen angel” and “demon” without actually defining what the difference is between them. Some people believe there is no difference between the two terms and thus use the terms interchangeably. I believe fallen angels and demons are different spiritual entities and I’ll show you why I feel this way in this blog post.

Fallen Angel
I define a fallen angel as a spiritual being created by God which fell out of Heaven into a sinful/corrupted state. Revelation 12 records the first batch of fallen angels who fell from Heaven.

• Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
• Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Fallen angels In the Bible are often referred to as the “sons of God” and as Satan’s ministers. The following is a short list of the capabilities of fallen angels:

Physical Visibility: Although fallen angels are spiritual beings, they appear to have the ability to physically appear to people (like their un-fallen counterparts in Genesis 19:1). Genesis 6 records the activities of the first batch of fallen angels that fell from Heaven. The sons of God (fallen angels) were able to marry human women (which strongly suggests the women were able to see them) and produced children (which further suggests that fallen angels were able to appear physically to women).

• Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
• Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

…

• Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Extraterrestrial Travel: Fallen Angels apparently can travel out of this world. For instance, Satan and his fallen angels one day came to present themselves in front of God in Heaven.

• Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Physical Transformation and the Ability to Deceive: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 informs us that Satan’s ministers/fallen angels have the ability to transform themselves so that they can pose as ministers of righteousness.

• 2Co 11:13 For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
• 2Co 11:14 And did not Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light?
• 2Co 11:15 It is not a great thing, then, if also his ministers transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

As I’ve stated before, the Greek word for “transform” is metaschēmatizō, which means to “transform the figure of”. Therefore, fallen angels have the ability to deceive people by transforming themselves to resemble religious figures that many people believe in if they choose to do that (which they sometimes actually do).

Demon/Devil
I define a demon as an unclean spirit that seeks to possess, manipulate, and to deceive people. In the King James Version of the Bible demons are referred to as “devils”. Here are the abilities of demons...

The Ability to Control the Entity they Possess: A well-known event where Christ casted out demons from a man to a herd of swine suggest demons can control the entity they possess. The demons controlled the man’s actions and then the actions of the herd of swine.

• Mat 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
• Mat 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
• Mat 8:30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
• Mat 8:31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
• Mat 8:32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

• Mar 5:11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
• Mar 5:12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
• Mar 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Ability to Inflict Harm on their Victim(s): Matthew 4:23-25 and Luke 4:40-41 suggest that demons have the power to inflict mental illness and physical diseases on their victims.

• Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
• Mat 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
• Mat 4:25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

• Luk 4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
• Luk 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

Unusual Physical Strength: The episode when Christ casted out demons into swine also suggests that demons can give an individual they possess unusual strength:

• Mar 5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
• Mar 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
• Mar 5:3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
• Mar 5:4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
• Mar 5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Limited Physical Movement: The Book of Revelation gives us a clue about the limitations that demons have. Revelation 9:20 tells us that people “of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk” even after being punished by plagues.

• Rev 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
• Rev 9:19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
• Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
• Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

The question that some people wonder is: “Why would men be worshiping devils if they are supposed to worship Antichrist, his image, and his idols?” The theory which I think best addresses this issue is that the demons/devils actually will inhabit the images and idols of Antichrist. After all, Revelation 13:15 suggest that there is some form of “life” in the image of the beast.

• Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
• Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

By worshiping an image or idol of the Antichrist, people will also be worshiping the demon inhabiting the object.

The demon inside the image (or idol of the beast) will be greatly limited by the entity they will inhabit. They will only be able to communicate. They will be unable to see, hear, or walk. Nevertheless, the images will have the ability to kill those do not worship the image of the beast.

• I suspect the demon in each image or idol will help the forces of evil track the whereabouts of people with the Mark of the Beast and people without the Mark of the Beast. A demon will not have the physical capacity to kill a non-Mark wearer themselves since they will be confined to the item they inhabit. However, the demon entrapped in an idol or image can facilitate a person’s death with their ability to alert someone who does have that capacity. Perhaps the demon will have the ability to sense who and who does not have the Mark...

The Ability to Deceive: Revelation 16 and 1 Timothy chapter 4 suggest that demons have the ability to deceive people with false beliefs.

• Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
• Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

(it’s unclear how the demons will resemble frogs so it’s unclear if they will actually appear in physical form as frogs to the kings of the earth).

• 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
• 1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

An Alternative Explanation
Some people cite the unbiblical Book of Enoch to understand who demons are. The idea suggested in Enoch is that demons are the disembodied spirit of the Nephilim (giants) that perished in the great flood of Genesis.

• Enoch 15:8 And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon
• Enoch 15:9 the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin;
• Enoch 15:10 they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. [As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.]
• Enoch 15:11 And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless
• Enoch 15:12 hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.

It’s possible that demons could be the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim, but without biblical evidence it’s impossible and unwise to treat this idea as a fact.

My Overall View on Fallen Angels vs. Demons
Overall, fallen angels and demons have some similarities. Both are evil entities that work to deceive people. I acknowledge that it’s quite possible that fallen angels and demons have even more similarities than what I recognize here. The main difference I see is that fallen angels appear to have more freedom of movement than demons do. Fallen angels do not seem reliant on having to possess something to get a task done. A fallen angel can physically transform and make themselves visible if they want to deceive a person. Meanwhile, a demon seems to have the need to possess a physical body in order to achieve a task.

Locomotion and Power of the Angels

In order to fully understand the extraordinary power of the Angels it is necessary to know their peculiar relation to space and how they move from one place to another.
An Angel, as every spiritual substance, is said to be present or localized in a particular place not by reason of his own substance being coextended with and circumscribed by space, like material bodies, but merely by virtue of his power being applied to a specific object or a particular place. Being spiritual and completely immaterial he does not fill or occupy space, not even the smallest dimension, not even a single point. His presence in a place is determined, and occasionally made known, by his activity there and not by his substance which has nothing in common with matter.
A graphic example of the presence of an Angel, made known by application of his power, is given in the well-known account of the miraculous cures that took place in the pond called Bethsaida, by the Sheepgate of Jerusalem. "An Angel of the Lord descended at certain times into the pond and the water was moved. And he that went down first into the pond after the motion of the water, was made whole, of whatsoever infirmity he lay under."[18] It is not said here that the Angel was ever seen by anybody when coming into that pond. His presence became manifest only by his action of stirring the waters and giving health to the first infirm person entering the pond.
The action of the Angel that determines his presence may affect material objects or immaterial subjects, like the human soul, other Angels, or demons.
Being thus engaged in one place the Angel cannot exert his activity and thereby be present at another place at the same time. He can be present and operate in one place at a time, and cannot reach by one action various objects in separate places. However, Angels pass from one place to another with the rapidity of thought. Their motion is not really a locomotion but merely an instantaneous change of place, even when the local distance between the second place and the first is of several thousand miles. His motion consists in transferring his attention and activity from one object to another without having to pass successively through the intermediate places and space. He can, however, follow a continuous motion through space when his activity demands it. Our mind, the closest thing to an Angel, even without leaving the location occupied by our body, travels with the speed of a spirit. At a moment's notice I can transfer my thoughts and my imagination from one continent to another, visit friends and even, perhaps, affect them telepathically. What a man can do mentally only, an Angel can do by actually transferring his own self and all his activity from one continent to another with the speed of lightning or, better, the speed of thought.
It is recorded in the Bible that on such flights the Angels have transported material objects or human beings with the same speed of spirit motion. An excellent example of this is found in the book of Daniel. For six days the Prophet Daniel was in the den of lions without being touched by the hungry felines kept there. During those days the Lord remembered Daniel and sent an Angel to bring him food. The Angel had to provide real food somewhere on earth and then bring it to Daniel. Daniel was in Babylon; the Angel went to Judea, some six hundred miles west of Babylon, and this is how he did it: "There was in Judea a prophet called Habacuc, and he had boiled pottage, and had broken bread in a bowl, and was going into the field, to carry it to the reapers. And the Angel of the Lord said to Habacuc: Carry the dinner which thou hast into Babylon to Daniel, who is in the lions' den. And Habacuc said: Lord, I never saw Babylon, nor do I know the den. And the Angel of the Lord took him by the top of his head, and carried him by the hair of his head, and set him in Babylon over the den in the force of his spirit. And Habacuc cried saying: O Daniel, thou servant of God, take the dinner that God hath sent thee.... And Daniel arose and ate. And the Angel of the Lord presently set Habacuc again in his own place."[19]
The mode of Angelic locomotion is clearly expressed in those words: "in the force of his spirit." A locomotion that does not pass successively through the intermediate spaces is implied there where the Scripture says that "the Angel of the Lord <presently> (that is, that very moment, immediately) set Habacuc again in his own place." It is not said that Habacuc was carried all the way back to his place, but that he was set, placed again in his place six hundred miles away, still in time to prepare another meal for his reapers. It is not conceivable that the Angel who provided Daniel with food should let the poor laborers in the field go hungry.
An Angel is a finite being, a creature, and as such he cannot perform miracles. A miracle, in the strict sense of the word "is something done by God outside the order of all created nature."[20] God is the principal cause of every miracle. He may-and usually does-make use of creatures, as Angels and Saints, as instrumental causes of miracles. However, many effects produced by Angels, according to their own natural powers, may appear like miracles to us because of the extraordinary manner in which they are produced and because of the superior power they reveal, but in fact they are not real miracles but Angelic deeds. The amazing swiftness of their movements, the devastating power of destruction which they manifest when God employs them as avenging Angels, are in reality ordinary exploits of the Angelic nature; yet they appear like miracles to us.
A classical example of Angelic avenging power has been recorded in the Bible. One single Angel of the Lord wiped out a whole army of Assyrian warriors in one night. Led by Sennacherib, the Assyrians had come to take Jerusalem in the days of King Ezechias. At the prayers of the pious King, the Lord promised to protect the city of Jerusalem and not to permit the Assyrians to shoot a single arrow into the city. The Lord gave the avenging mission to one of His Angels. "And it came to pass that night, that an Angel of the Lord came, and slew in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand. And when he arose early in the morning, he saw all the bodies of the dead."[21] This extraordinary historical event is recorded in four different books of the Scripture and finds its confirmation in the history books of Josephus Flavius and of Herodotus. The inspired writers tell us what the Lord revealed to them, namely that an Angel did it all. The pagan writers tell us how that mysterious agent accomplished it, namely making use of natural destructive means, deadly microbes and bacteria causing a plague: "God had sent a pestilential distemper upon his (Sennacherib's) army; and on the very first night of the siege, a hundred four score and five thousand, with their captains and generals were destroyed."[22]
The hand of the avenging Angel appears manifest in this incident which reminds us of the plagues of Egypt, in the days of Moses, when the Lord must have made extensive use of the Angelic ministry in producing those great signs and portents.
"The phenomena to which the power of Angels may give rise, whether exercised mediately or immediately, must be of a remarkable character, both as regards their extent and their diversity. As on the one hand these pure spirits possess a knowledge of physical and chemical laws far surpassing our own knowledge, and as on the other their power is of such vast range, we must assume that there are hardly any phenomena in the world which they cannot produce in one way or another. Indeed, such effects may be so surprising as to have all the appearances of miracles. They are not, however, true miracles, for, though they surpass the powers of the visible universe, so far as it is known to us, they do not in reality surpass the powers of the Angelic nature, a miracle being due to the power of God alone, and surpassing all the powers both of visible and invisible nature."[23]
Among the many effects of the Angelic power we must mention that of assuming a visible form or the appearance of a human body, always with God's permission or command. The many corporeal apparitions of Angels and Archangels mentioned in the Bible need not be repeated here. However, those assumed bodies do not become part of their nature. They are used merely as necessary instruments for communicating visibly with men. They are not real bodies, and whatever vital actions they seem to perform with them are such only in appearance. "I seemed indeed to eat and to drink with you," said the Archangel Raphael, "but I use an invisible meat and drink, which cannot be seen by men."[24] The non-reality of the Archangel's assumed body was made manifest by his sudden vanishing into thin air: "And when he (the Archangel) had said these things, he was taken from their sight, and they could see him no more."[25]

Love and Free Will of the Angels

Free will is an essential constituent of every spiritual nature, divine, angelic, and human. The Angels are pure spirits, as was demonstrated in the preceding chapter. They must consequently enjoy freedom of choice, no less than man who is a little less than the Angels.
Sacred Scripture clearly implies the existence of a free will in the Angelic nature. The mere fact that a number of them sinned while the rest chose to remain loyal to God proves it beyond doubt. Personal sin is a willful transgression of the law of God. Sin cannot exist where there is no free will. Since the Scripture explicitly reveals the sin of the Angels and their banishment from heaven, it clearly implies that they are in possession of a free will. "God spared not the Angels that sinned."[12] "The Angels who kept not their principality, but forsook their own habitation, he hath reserved under darkness in everlasting chains, unto the judgment of the great day."[13] The voluntary abandonment of their "principality" and their subsequent punishment are facts that absolutely presuppose free will and free choice. "An Angel is an intellectual substance, endowed with liberty," writes Saint John Damascene; and again, "Every being that is endowed with reason is also endowed with free will. Consequently an Angel, being a nature endowed with reason and intelligence, is also equipped with freedom of choice. Being a creature, he is mutable, because he is free either to persevere in what is good, or to turn to what is bad."[14]
The words of the Divine Savior revealing that Angels rejoice in heaven when they see a sinner converted to God and doing penance, presuppose a free will and free choice not only in man-the sinner doing penance but also in the Angels who rejoice instead of lamenting over such an act. "So I say to you, there shall be joy before the Angels of God upon one sinner doing penance."[15] This rejoicing over man's conversion, and hope of salvation, reveals the most beautiful and noble act of the Angelic will, their love. They love themselves and each other in God, and God in Himself and above all else. They love man because he is made to the image and likeness of God, is a partaker of the Divine nature, redeemed by the Son of God and destined to live with them in heaven. Yes, they love man, they protect him, they inspire him with holy thoughts and desires, they offer his prayers, his good works, his sufferings and his tears to God and they pray for him. Yes, the good Angels love man as much as Satan hates him. This love of man explains the heavenly joy they experience when they see a sinner doing penance, because through sin he was lost and now has been found, was dead and has come back to life.
Being entirely free from passions and all sensitive appetites, the act of the Angelic will is determined exclusively by the Angelic mind with a decision and a firmness that are final and admit of no reverse. It was exactly this quality of the Angelic will, as some say, that made the fallen angels incapable of conversion and repentance. For an Angel to sin-at the time of their probation when they were still free to do so-is to assume an immutable attitude against God, an aversion that will never end. He thus becomes an adversary of God, a demon. Whereas the good Angel that has once elicited an act of love of God will love God for all eternity. "Following that perfect knowledge of theirs, the Angel's surrender to love is immediate, unwavering, utterly whole and completely irrevocable. The fire of an Angel's love is not built up slowly; it has no stages of mere smoldering, no agonizing moments of dying embers; rather the Angel is immediately a holocaust, a roaring conflagration, aflame with a love that will never lessen."[16]
Desire is another manifest sign of a free will in a rational being. Saint Peter attributes this quality to the will of the Angels.
For centuries and ages, ever since the primal revelation was made to them, those heavenly spirits had ardently desired to see the fulfillment of the redemption promised mankind from the beginning: "Into these things Angels desired to look."[17] This desire to see our redemption accomplished is another proof of their love for us.
Once established in grace and admitted to the Beatific Vision, the Angelic will, no less than the human will, can no longer choose between good and evil. The choice it has made of the Good, is now an eternal choice. In the eternal possession of the Supreme Good they can still choose what they please, but their choice is always guided by the love of the Supreme Being and is only a choice between good and better.

The Language of Angels

Do Angels speak and manifest their thoughts to others? It would indeed be inconceivable that such a vast multitude of pure spirits endowed with superior intelligence and an abundance of dear ideas should lack the means of communicating among themselves. Saint Paul speaks of such things as "the tongues of Angels." From Sacred Scripture we learn that Angels do talk with one another;[5] they talk to men every time they are sent as God's messengers into this world. The examples are too many and too obvious: The Archangel Raphael and Tobias, Gabriel the Archangel and Saint Zachary and the Blessed Virgin Mary; an Angel spoke to Saint Peter,[6] etc. If they talk and they sing in a manner and a voice that is not their own, how much more must they be able to talk and sing in the language of the spirits. At the birth of Christ, the heavenly messenger of joy and of great tidings, an Angel of God announced the nativity of the Savior of the world to a few shepherds in the hill country around Bethlehem. Messengers had come down to earth many times since man's creation, to advise, to warn, to help, or to punish man. On this occasion "a multitude of the heavenly army" was heard for the first time singing, caroling, and praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of good will." Only the Angelic mind could well understand the mystery of the Incarnation, and the great honor and dignity that had come to poor human nature when the Son of God, the Eternal Word, assumed and substantially united it to His Divine Person for all eternity.
The fact that Angels possess a language of their own is beyond all doubt; the nature of that language, however, is little known to us. When the Angels appear to men, a human language is spoken by them, the one spoken by the addressee. The sound of human voice is produced, and human words are spoken when the Angelic apparition is a sensible one; only mental words, the conveying of ideas, are used in cases of imaginative or intellectual visions.
Among themselves the Angels do not converse in any human language, by words of mouth, being incorporeal and immaterial. What is their language then? Of several theories excogitated by the Schoolmen to explain the language of the Angels the one proposed by Saint Thomas seems to be the most acceptable. Saint Thomas holds that the Angels talk to each other by a mere act of the will, opening their mind and revealing whatever ideas they wish to convey to others of the same nature as themselves. This Angelic language, or conversation, is called illumination. Dionysius refers to this mode of speaking where he writes: "The lower orders of the Celestial Beings (the Angels) receive the understanding of the Divine works from those above them in a fitting manner, and the highest are correspondingly enlightened in the Divine Mysteries by the Most High God Himself. For some of them are shown to us enlightened in holy matters by those above them."[7] Dionysius applies to the Angels of higher and lower ranks those questions and replies of Psalm 23, which describe Christ's triumphant ascension into heaven. Some of the Angels are depicted there asking: "Who is this King of glory?" Spirits of the higher Choirs of Angels answer: "The Lord who is strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." Some more Angels ask the same question: "Who is this King of glory?" And the higher Angels reply: "The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory." "Some of them," writes Dionysius, "are shown to us enlightened in holy matters by those above them, and [thus] we learn that He who in human form ascended to heaven is Lord of the Celestial Powers and King of glory."[8]
"They [the Angels] need neither tongue nor ears but without the help of any spoken word they exchange with each other their thoughts and their counsels."[9] This form of expression, the Angelic language, may seem perhaps too faint and indistinct to us who are used to material sound and words of mouth; it is however much stronger, clearer, and more perfect than any human language, even when this is used by the most learned and experienced of men. Our words of mouth are no more than symbols of the ideas we have in our mind and wish to manifest to others. Symbols and words are very often inadequate in expressing the full thought, or they are ambiguous or not well understood by the hearer. To be able to open one's mind and reveal the whole thought, as it is there, without the channel of symbolism, sound, and words, is a higher and better form of expression. Such is the wordless exchange of ideas, the language of the Angels.
Just as, by God's permission or command, the Angels are able to assume human forms when appearing to men, so, too, they are permitted to produce a human voice and speak our human language, as all reported Angelic apparitions reveal. By the same Divine permission and in virtue of their natural powers, the Angels are able to produce what to human ears sounds like sweet melody or enchanting music, as we learn from the lives of several of God's servants about whom we shall report later.
The fact of Angelic illumination implies difference of knowledge and ideas between one Angel and another. This difference is determined by the special degree of perfection of each individual Angel. Since no two Angels are exactly alike, it follows that their power of understanding and their amount of knowledge differ accordingly. Angelic illumination is needed not only for acquiring new natural ideas but also, and especially, for the supernatural knowledge of the mysteries of God. Here an Angel of the higher ranks, having received more light from God on such mysteries, passes that knowledge along to Angels of lower ranks adjusting himself to their more limited capacity. Saint Paul implies that the Angels can be enlightened on such mysteries even through the Church and human preaching: "To me, the least of all saints is given this grace to preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to enlighten all men . . . that the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to Principalities and Powers in heavenly places through the church."[10]
By opening his mind in light, an Angel is able to reveal not only his thoughts but also his affections, his desires, his joy, his gratitude, his happiness. Such manifestations are immensely more perfect, more beautiful, and convincing than any corresponding human expression. They are a blessed irradiation of whatever sentiment is being expressed. "The first Order of the Celestial Beings," writes Dionysius, "which are established about God, immediately encircling Him, in perpetual purity they encompass His eternal knowledge in that most sublime and eternal Angelic dance, rapt in the bliss of manifold blessed contemplations, and irradiated with pure and primal splendors."[11]

The Angelic Mind and Mode of Expression

As pure spirits the Angels are created intelligences, altogether above matter and free from any essential relation to it, both in their existence and their operation. In this respect the Angels are specifically above the human soul which, even though of a spiritual nature, is not a pure spirit and a complete nature, but is naturally ordained to inform a human body and to constitute one individual substance with it. Even though spiritual and immortal by nature, the human soul, in this life, depends in a very large measure on the human body for its operations.
All the Angels are endowed with intellect and free will. No pure spirit is conceivable without these natural faculties. The Angels are commonly called "minds," "intelligences" by theologians and philosophers. Dionysius calls them "celestial intelligences," "intellectual beings," "supercelestial beings," etc. Exalted knowledge and intelligence are the most outstanding qualities of an Angel according to human standards. Thus, in praising David's wisdom, the woman from Thecua could not find a similar intelligence here on earth and compared it to that of an Angelic mind: "Thou, my lord, O King, art wise, according to the wisdom of an Angel of God."[1]
In calling the Angels "minds" and "intelligences" we do not mean to limit the Angelic nature to the intellect but we rather wish to stress the power of the Angelic perception, superior by far to our own both in itself and in its mode of operation. We speak here of the natural knowledge of the Angels, the one which is proportioned to their condition of pure spirits; and we abstract, for the time being, from their present condition of comprehensors in which a Godlike, more sublime knowledge is imparted to them through the light of glory. The natural intelligence of an Angel is common to both the good and the fallen angels, the demons. "Although an Angel's intellect is not his own substance, just as our intellects are not our own substances, yet he possesses such penetration, that he is able, at one glance, to take in the whole field of science lying open to his perception, just as we, at a glance, can take in the entire field of vision lying exposed to our eyes."[2]
Our human mind comes into possession of knowledge by a gradual and laborious process. It requires first of all a number of years of physical development for the proper operation. It rises slowly from single sensible perceptions to general ideas of things and finally to abstract truth. The Angelic intellect, entirely free and independent from matter and senses, needs no such development. It is in the full possession of its power from the very beginning of its existence. There is no need of gathering elements of knowledge bit by bit, of adding ideas to ideas in order to discover truth, as is the case with us. Having been created in the full perfection of its nature, the Angelic mind neither develops by gradual growth nor does it suffer any decay; its knowledge does not pass by consecutive steps from the haze of the morning to the splendor of the noonday brightness. From the beginning of its existence it was able to grasp the objects within its own sphere and advert to them without any fatigue in the process, moving in the dazzling light of the purely spiritual world as in its proper element. Its light is not subject to waning into twilight or disappearing into darkness, as is the case, unfortunately, with the human mind in this life.
Being by nature higher than man and much closer to God, the Angels receive more of His light, that is, a greater power of understanding, infused ideas, mind-pictures representing external objects, the spiritual and material creatures of this universe.
The process of Angelic knowing and understanding seems to consist in a placid gazing on these ideas or mind-pictures existing within its intellect from the beginning, actuated either by the Angelic will, or the need of the moment.
There is no room for obscurity or error in the Angelic process of understanding. Obscurity and doubts often cloud human knowledge and understanding because of human passions and the senses. Even though enriched with all the necessary ideas from the beginning, the Angelic mind is capable of advancing in knowledge and able to learn about new events, as they occur, either through Divine Revelation or through illumination from Angels of a superior Order, or even through men.[3]
We must admit that what we have laid down about Angelic knowledge and similar questions of the Angelic life are no more than pure conjectures based on theological and philosophical principles and a few data of Revelation. "The comprehension of the Angelic intellect and its mode of operation is a subject of speculation, concerning which our limited mind is at a decided disadvantage. The Schoolmen have practically exhausted the capacity of the human intellect along these lines. As of faith we need only hold that the Angels are not endowed with cardiognosis [knowledge of the secrets of the heart] nor with a certain knowledge of future acts of the free will; these being exclusively divine prerogatives. It follows that their knowledge of the thoughts and future free actions of men is purely conjectural and can at most engender only moral certitude."[4]

WE ARE ONE

The Sunday service began with prayer and visitors from far and wide received a touch from the Five Wise Men that rewrote the history of their lives. Immediately after the Prayer Line session, the church began to listen to testimonies of extraordinary breakthroughs resulting from the ministration of the New Anointing Water and Stickers, to the glory of God.

ONCE I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I CAN SEE

Mrs Naomi Kiloko was experiencing blindness for one year. What started as mere irritation of the eyes soon worsened to the point where her eyes became grossly swollen and she lost all vision. Medical doctors were unable to explain the sudden deterioration of her vision and discharged her from hospital offering no hope of solution.Mrs Kiloko would spend the entirety of her days alone, lying down on her bed in utter darkness and desolation.

It was in this condition that an extended family relative who was privileged to have visited The SCOAN and received the new Anointing Water came to see her. Using her hands to prise open the severely swollen eyelids, she ministered the New Anointing Water in Jesus’ name.
To the astonishment of all witnesses, a physical sound erupted as if a cork was unscrewed from a bottle! At that Divine moment, Mrs Kiloko’s sigh was restored! Blindness had been swallowed up in victory! Jumping up and proclaiming her ability to see, she astounded her family members by picking up a Bible and beginning to read. Several days later, all the swelling had disappeared and her vision was back to normalcy!

CRASHED BUT NOT CRUSHED

Mr James Asemota, a lorry driver, was driving along a highway when the brakes of his lorry failed. Veering out of control, the lorry hit an oncoming boulder and somersaulted into a ditch, ending up preciously perched on its side. He and his three passengers were trapped in the fallen lorry with the prospect of a fire erupting very imminent. As Mr James uttered a prayer for Divine protection, an extraordinary scene unfolded before his dazed eyes. He saw a giant man wearing a white robe and holding a sword emerge from the Anointing Sticker from The SCOAN that he had placed on the windscreen of his lorry. The tall man flashed the sword across the windscreen of the lorry. Instantly, the glass of the windscreen collapsed! He and his boys were able to come out through the collapsed windscreen safely. Remarkably, none of them recorded a single injury or bruise from the terrible accident. As Prophet T.B. Joshua says, “When the eyes of your faith are opened, you will know the protection that you are under.”

DELIVERED FROM ALCOHOLIC ADDICTION OF 25 YEARS

Mr Sunday Eghele, Edo, Nigeria, had been addicted to drinking alcohol for 25 years. The habit had adversely affected his marital life to the point that his wife threatened a divorce. He was unable to perform his normal duties. His wife who had earlier collected the Anointing Water from The SCOAN, ministered it to Mr Eghele and he immediately started manifesting in a strange manner. He had a dream where he wrestled with some strange beings that came to take away their children. He was able to overcome them by shouting out the name of Jesus Christ. In another vision that followed, he saw a giant man come out of his body and leave. He called his wife to bring the Anointing Water and as soon as he ministered it to himself in Jesus’ name, the giant man ran away. The following morning he woke up and went about his day alcohol free forgetting about the beers stored up in his refrigerator. He has since been free from the habit of consuming alcohol. The regular supplier of beer to the man saw the wife and asked her why the husband had not come for his usual drinks and she told the woman that her husband does not drink alcohol anymore. Indeed, he is free.

LECTURER NO LONGER USES GLASSES

Mrs Joy Nnaji, a Lecturer of Political Science, College of Science & Technology, Anambra, Nigeria, had a severe eye problem and was booked for an operation. Doctors had diagnosed cataracts and she had been using glasses for five years. The pain and discomfort she experienced continued to worsen as time progressed. She couldn’t do anything without wearing glasses, proving increasingly burdensome to her responsibilities as a lecturer.
As an avid viewer of Emmanuel TV, when Mrs Nnaji heard about the new Anointing Water, she believed that solution to her deteriorating condition had finally come. Priviliged to be among the few who received the New Anointing Water upon its release, she ministered it upon her affected eyes and slept. The next morning, she got up and noticed some mucous coming out from her eyes. She cleaned up and went to work as usual. To her surprise, she was able to read the scripts that were brought to her by her numerous students without using her glasses. Ever since the ministration of the new Anointing Water, the lecturer has stopped wearing glasses and all the accompanying aches and pains of the cataracts have completely gone. Thank You, Jesus Christ!

KIDNEY STONES MIRACULOUSLY HEALED

Mr Okocha Ifechukwude who works at the College of Medicine at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital had a problem of kidney stones which subjected him to bouts of trauma for twelve months. He explored all medical possibilities in order to cure his ailment but to no avail. His mother also took him to native doctors who were unable to help him out of the problem. He was then encouraged by his sister to visit The SCOAN where he collected the new Anointing Water and ministered it to himself believing God for a sure cure. To his amazement he noticed that he no longer felt the symptoms associated with the kidney stones. To confirm his healing, he returned to the Teaching Hospital for another scan. The University Teaching Hospital ran various tests on him and all indicated that he no longer had kidney stones. He confessed that he used to have a negative perception of The SCOAN and it was difficult for him to come to the church for prayer except for the severity of his disease and the fact that all other avenues had failed him. Indeed, God can use foolish things like sickness to draw us close to Him.

POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS

Miss Mhloti had been working as Admin Officer without promotion in her job. Her colleagues including his juniors were being promoted in due time. She visited many prayer houses in South Africa in search of solution to her problem but did not get promoted. On the day the New Anointing Water was launched by the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, a friend called her from The SCOAN and told her what was happening at The SCOAN and asked her to tune in to the Emmanuel TV. When she tuned in, she saw the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua praying for the masses and she placed her hands on the screen of her television and prayed along with the Prophet claiming to possess her possessions. The next morning, she went to her office and a letter of promotion was given to her appointing her as Senior Provisioning Administrative Officer; Budgeting and Planning.

FIBROID COMES OUT WITHOUT OPERATION

Miss Evarister Ezeh came to The SCOAN with an issue of multiple fibroids for three years. Her stomach was as big as that of a three month pregnancy, being both hard and painful to touch. Doctors said the only solution was for her to be operated upon. She declined having the operation believing that God could heal her through the medium of the Anointing Water. During the period of the affliction, she lost her job and her official car because she could no longer perform effectively in her work place.  A man who had received the Anointing Water from The SCOAN shared a little and she ministered it in Jesus’ name. That night, she saw the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua in her dream and he prayed for her. She woke up from the dream and felt something running down her legs. When she went to the bathroom and realized it was the fibroid that was coming out. She experienced a period of continuous bleeding with pieces of fibroid coming out. Now, she is healed and fibroid free – to God be the glory.

CULT LEADER AND DRUG DEALER DELIVERED IN JESUS’ NAME

Mr Oluwaseyi, a Nigerian living in South Africa was a cult gang leader and a notorious drug dealer. While attending university, he was initiated into cultism and soon rose through the ranks to become the cult’s leader. His lust for power led him to visit spiritualists and witchdoctors to procure charms for protection against attack from rival cultists which is a regular occurrence on campuses. At one time he had a face-to-face battle with some competing gang members where he was shot at but the bullet could not penetrate his body. After the running battle, he was declared wanted by the Police and run away from the university. He came back to Nigeria to hide but when he noticed that the arms of the law were still trailing him, he returned to South Africa. His girlfriend who was an Emmanuel TV addict tried to introduce the channel to him but he would rather paint a discouraging picture of the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua telling the girl that he is from Nigeria and that he knows that the Prophet was dubious and uses charms to perform the so-called miracles.
During these periods, he was often afflicted by a spiritual wife that used to make love to him in his dream. Things always turned rough whenever that spiritual wife met with him. At a point in time, his girlfriend visited The SCOAN and returned to South Africa with the Anointing Water. When he saw the Anointing Water, he ministered it into his mouth without any expectations as to what would happen. A few days later, some security personnel came to raid their house and arrested all the occupants including their house girl for drug peddling. His boss, who was a renowned drug baron, was arrested but he was inexplicably pushed aside by the security operatives. It became clear to him that such a narrow escape could not have been possible and he was able to link it with the Anointing Water he had inadvertently ministered to himself.
He then developed interest in viewing Emmanuel TV and decided to visit The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria to seek for deliverance. As Wise Man John Chi prayed for him, the evil spirit within Mr Oluwaseyi violently manifested and he was finally delivered and declared free, in Jesus’ name. Since his deliverance, his life has radically transformed! He testified that he is enjoying peace of mind for the first time in his life and all lust for drugs and women had completely vanished. He advised young people to be careful about the friends they keep as it was the company of bad friends at university that influenced him to join the cult. He further advised parents to be mindful of the gifts and clothes they buy for their children, noting that cultists in school usually look for those who are flashily and flamboyantly dressed as targets for potential recruitment into the cults. PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA’S 50TH BIRTHDAY ADVICE

Prophet T.B. Joshua briefly commenting on his forthcoming 50^th birthday anniversary which falls on June 12, 2013, advocated that the best way to celebrate his birthday is for the people to pray for unity and love for the church of God. He says that we lack the strongest bond of love which is the backbone of unity that can only come by relationship. He also advised people to use their quality time to visit the sick in hospital, orphans and be a father to the fatherless and benefactor to the needy by extending scholarship schemes to the less privileged ones. He concluded that the best way to celebrate the birthday is by embracing these members of society, adding that it is an opportunity for soul-winning. He strongly advocated that people should rededicate their lives through acts of giving for a true transformation. He also reminded us that there is no one like you and there will never be anyone like you therefore, we should be imitators of God not man in the way we do things and that we should allow the Spirit of God to suggest to us that is when we will be ones with a difference.

AN EYE OPENING HEALING!

Susan Asuquo a worker with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was diagnosed with kidney failure. In addition, the family was facing serious financial problems. She tried to go into petty trading which could not do well and she eventually went into politics but lost all her money. She was experiencing severe waist pain and went to the hospital for a checkup only to find that her kidney was not functioning properly. Her husband said to her, “Why don’t you go to T.B. Joshua?” She rejected the idea because of the rumours she had heard about The SCOAN and the repercussions there may be for her work in the church. Her husband kept encouraging her and eventually she decided to watch Emmanuel TV and saw for herself that T.B. Joshua is a man of God.Soon after she met a grieving lady who said that her husband had died of kidney failure. She began to cry and the lady thought she was sympathizing with her situation but rather she had come to understand the reality of her own situation and imagined what would become of her husband and their three children if she died from this disease. With no job or any other means of supporting the family, the couple finally decided to come to The SCOAN. They were privileged to receive the new Anointing Water. That night in the hotel room, she ministered the Anointing Water to herself. That whole night, she felt as if her body was being cleansed and reinvigorated.
When she got back to her State she went to the doctors that had formally diagnosed her with kidney failure and they ran some tests which revealed that indeed she had a brand new kidney. The astonished doctor asked her whether she had attended The SCOAN upon seeing the remarkable transformation! Her advice to others is to not be deterred by others or listen to false rumours that could stop them from doing what God puts in their heart to do.

EMPLOYMENT WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED

During last Sunday’s service, Prophet T.B. Joshua made an appeal to entrepreneurs and institutions to create job vacancies for at least ten graduates.  To this end, a call was made for qualified graduates in the field of education to make themselves available for placement. The response was instant and overwhelming. Eventually, a total of twenty-four candidates from diverse backgrounds and various churches were successfully selected given job placements in a federal establishment. Today their situation has turned around and they are now working class graduates. Prophet T.B. Joshua used the occasion to stress that our membership in our local church is merely symbolic as the essence of the true church is Christ in us, the hope of glory. He called on the body of Christ to unite as one!
